What is Jeuveau®?

Jeuveau® is an injectable neuromodulator product that temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause the vertical lines between your eyes. Unlike wrinkles that are caused by reduced levels of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin, glabellar lines form in response to the skin being pinched by muscle contractions. Jeuveau® contains botulinum toxin, the same ingredient as Botox®, yet the product is designed specifically for vertical lines between the brows and eyes.

What Can Be Treated with Jeuveau®?

Jeuveau® is FDA-approved for cosmetic treatments of moderate to severe glabellar lines that form between the eyebrows. How is Jeuveau® Performed?

Jeuveau® is a minimally-invasive cosmetic treatment, and the procedure only involves a series of injections with an ultrafine needle. Several injections are made within the muscles that control facial expressions in the upper third of the face. The size of the needle ensures patient comfort. The only sensation may be a slight pinch when the needle is inserted into the skin and muscle tissue. The treatment takes as little as 10 minutes.

What to Expect After Jeuveau®

After your Jeuveau® injections, you may notice some softening of the glabellar lines. Full results may take several days. On average, wrinkle reduction with Jeuveau® last three to six months. We recommend follow-up treatments every four months to maintain the anti-aging benefits of the injections.

Jeuveau® Recovery

You can return to your normal activities right after your Jeuveau® treatment. There may also be some localized symptoms around each injection site, such as pinpoint bleeding, swelling, tenderness, and bruising. These symptoms indicate your body’s reactions to the injections rather than the Jeuveau® product itself.
